Selenium connection error / “ConnectionResetError” 10054

Problem

When connecting to the selenium instance via an automation script you run in to a connection error.

Solution

Check if you have java 8 jre installed from oracle:

https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jre8-downloads.html

Check if “automationService.jar” exists in:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Incogniton\Incogniton\automationService\ (WINDOWS)

/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Incogniton/automationService/ (MAC)

If not:

Download the zip here:

https://downloads.incognitondownloads.com/misc/automationService/update.zip

And unzip it in:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Incogniton\Incogniton\automationService\ (WINDOWS)

/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Incogniton/automationService/ (MAC)

Restart Incogniton and try to launch the automation again.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Incogniton\Incogniton\logs\ (WINDOWS)

/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Incogniton/logs/ (MAC)
